Tim Casey joined Legal Momentum in 2001. He plays a key role in the formulation and implementation of the legal advocacy agenda, with a focus on economic security issues such as welfare, poverty and childcare. His expertise includes litigation, legislative and administrative advocacy, training and public education.
Before joining Legal Momentum Tim served as Director, Department of Policy, Advocacy & Research of the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies where his responsibilities included formulation and implementation of an advocacy and research agenda covering child and elderly welfare, HIV/AIDS, and income security. Tim has published many articles on welfare and poverty including "Child Poverty And Public Transfers In International Perspective."
Tim graduated with a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Columbia University. He received his law degree from New York University Law School.
