Children Placed With Abusers Recount Their Own Experience

In addition to scholarly studies and articles there is now a website called Courageous Kids Network on which children placed by the courts with the abusing parent recount their own experiences. These youngsters describe custody evaluators, psychologists, lawyers and judges who ignored evidence of domestic violence and child sexual abuse and accepted, or themselves put forward, claims of parental alienation syndrome. These youngsters describe years of physical, sexual and emotional abuse and the extremely negative physical and mental health consequences. Several suffered nervous breakdowns, contemplated suicide and committed suicide. A paramount theme of these narratives is a sense of having been betrayed by the courts. These narratives are here.
